Hay River, NT | March 17–18, 2026
The Native Women’s Association of the NWT (NWANWT) is pleased to host the Community Voices of the NWT Regional Workshop in Hay River for women from the Dehcho and South Slave regions.
This two-day gathering will provide a respectful, supportive, and culturally grounded space for Indigenous women with lived experience to share their perspectives, identify local priorities, and contribute to community-driven solutions. Discussions will focus on key areas including:
- Health care
- Economic empowerment
- Housing
- Gender-based violence
- Cultural strength and wellbeing
The purpose of this workshop is to ensure Indigenous women’s voices are at the centre of identifying both the challenges facing our communities and the solutions that will move us forward in a meaningful way.
Travel, accommodations, and an honorarium will be provided to selected participants.
